Video: 2014 Newcastle & Hunter Road Safety Awareness Day

Newcastle’s picturesque Foreshore Park was the place to be on November 2 as the pride of the NSW Hunter region's road transport industry showed off its wares.

2014 was a special year for the Newcastle and Hunter Road Safety Awareness Day. The initial group was formed in 1994, and since then it has raised a considerable amount of money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

As in previous years, the convoy kicked off at 9am from the Sandgate Fruit Markets in Newcastle’s northern outskirts. The trucks then made their way to Foreshore Park via the old Pacific Highway, and along Hunter St to Foreshore Park for a day of entertainment.
