Casino Truck Show a sure bet

The fifth running of the Casino Truck Show, to be held on August 6 and sponsored by North Coast Petroleum, will be a big one, with a cool $1000 for the Rig of the Show, plus appearances from the Bandag Bullet, the Supercar Experience Car and the Triple 8 Race Car Carrier.

The northern NSW town of Casino will be overflowing with trucks of all shapes and sizes on Saturday, August 6 when the 2016 North Coast Petroleum Casino Truck Show hits town.

Over 100 trucks will trundle through Johnston St and Center St for the ScuzzTrans Truck Parade from 10am. Trucks will line up in the main streets of Casino, in Walker and Barker St and the Rig of the Show Winner will receive $1000 cash.

The world’s fastest truck, the Bandag Bullet, will be on display and for the first time, the Supercar Experience Car and the Triple 8 Race Car Carrier will be on show.

“We have been overwhelmed by the response to the event over the past years,” says Stuart George, president of the Casino Truck Show.

“Visitors and families travel from across the state and with the free entry, it makes Casino the place to be on the first weekend of August.

“Having a $1000 cash prize up for grabs for the Rig of the Show winner will attract both local and interstate trucking companies and will add new dimensions to the show.

“The uniqueness and affordability of the free event attracts many visitors to town and seeing the main streets closed and alive with wall to wall trucks, brings an opportunity to experience the heart of the event right up close,” Stuart says.

As well as the $1000 Rig of the Show cash prize, the ScuzzTrans Truck Parade, and the appearance of the Bandag Bullet, other entertainment will come in the form of live music from Kerry Kennedy and Double Barrel who will perform out front of the Oxford Hotel.

There will also be entertainment for the kids, including amusement rides and face painters. Food and market stalls will also be available.
