Transport identities to be honoured at Alice Springs

Shell Rimula will again lend its support to celebrate the road transport community at the annual National Road Transport Hall of Fame Reunion in August.

Shell Rimula will again be partnering with the National Road Transport Hall of Fame to acknowledge the achievements and lifetime commitment of the Australian road transport community around the last weekend of August. It will mark Shell Rimula’s 16 years of involvement with the Alice Springs Hall of Fame Reunion.

Returning in 2016 from August 25 to August 29, the annual National Road Transport Hall of Fame Reunion in Alice Springs will see approximately 80 individuals inducted into the coveted Shell Rimula Wall of Fame.

Max Lane, marketing manager of Shell Lubricants, Viva Energy Australia says it’s a great honour for Shell Rimula to again partner with the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and publically recognise the wonderful Australians who have given so much of their lives to our community.

“Viva Energy Australia is committed to delivering innovative and reliable Shell product solutions, available through a wide range of outlets across Australia, and this dedication to the road transport industry is emulated in our ongoing support of the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame,” Lane says.

“We are excited to acknowledge the achievements of this year’s inductees and remain dedicated to commending the road transport industry’s notable people and its heritage in Australia.”

The Shell Rimula Wall of Fame is part of a four day event in Alice Springs, which includes the induction ceremony and the Shell Rimula Inductee Gala Dinner.

Liz Martin, National Road Transport Hall of Fame CEO says she is looking forward to welcoming new inductees into the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame and celebrating their enduring commitment to road transport in Australia.

“Our longstanding partnership with Shell Rimula ensures we are able to acknowledge those who have dedicated their lives to the road and have kept Australia moving,” Martin says.
