More than 200 trucks took part in this year's Casino Truck Show, a record for the annual northern New South Wales event.

It was a record attendance for Casino, with trucks, owners and drivers arriving from all around northern NSW, as well as from Queensland, Victoria and as far as Western Australia.

Des Bailey, a former winner of the NatRoad and Australian Trucking Association Professional Driver of the Year awards, offered an introduction to Owner//Driver‘s brief but colourful video.

Des drove up from Grafton in a Blanchard Haulage R560 Scania. He’s been with the company for over 20 years.

Stuart George, president of the Casino Beef Week committee, which also organises the truck show, says the truck attendance numbers jumped significantly this year.

“Over 200 trucks, it’s the biggest we’ve had by far,” Stuart says.

“Last year was just over 150, the year before might have been 160. It’s always been around that 150, so it was a big increase.”
