Commerical Motor Vehicles (CMV) has been appointed the Mack and Volvo truck sales dealer along the NSW and Victorian border.

CMV will look after sales for Volvo Group Australia in Albury and Wodonga.

The company is currently responsible for sales and support of Mack and Volvo for the greater part of Victoria.

“The inclusion of the Albury region to their current Melbourne and Gippsland dealerships is an exciting and logical extension,” Volvo President Arne Knaben says.

Responsibility for sales will be transferred to CMV in October. CMV Joint Managing Director Paul Crawford says the decision allows the company to expand as a major dealer for Mack and Volvo trucks.

“To that end we are planning further investments into the region through the development of an improved dealer facility, to accommodate growth and to further improve customer services,” Crawford says.

Knaben says the transfer of responsibility will be “relatively seamless” for customers, adding that they will continue to deal with the same staff at the same location.
