Three more Penske offices, including the first in Brisbane, will bring the number up to five
Penske’s expansion has taken another step with the firm opening a truck rental and leasing office in Melbourne.
The new office, which starts doing business five months after Penske Truck Leasing’s Australian launch, is co-located within the Penske Power Systems facility, formerly MTU Detroit Diesel, a subsidiary of Penske Automotive Group.
“We have seen a positive response to our truck rental and leasing services since opening in August 2014,” truck rental senior vice president Don Mikes says.
“This is our second office in Australia and we anticipate opening three additional locations over the next 12 months.”
The newly opened Melbourne location rents B-double rated MAN TGS 540 and TGS 480 6×4 sleepers, B-double and road train rated Western Star 5800 6×4 sleepers, and new to its fleet offering at the Melbourne location are B-double rated Freightliner Coronado 6×4 day cabs.
It is located at 488 Blackshaws Road, Altona North.
