Penske recalls Dennis Eagle trucks due to potential fault

Steering system issues could affect a range of Dennis Eagle trucks.

Penske Commercial Vehicles has issued a recall notice for an unknown number of Dennis Eagle trucks due to a steering system issue.

According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recall notice, “vehicles may have been fitted with bolts in the steering system which are not of the correct specification”.

“Should the bolts fail, the attachment of the steering linkages to the axle could be compromised,” the ACCC states.

“This condition may potentially result in loss of control of the steering of the vehicle potentially causing an accident.”

The affected vehicles have been sold nationally by Penske, who asks consumers to contact their nearest authorised dealer to arrange an inspection and repairs.
