ACFS Port Logistics expands fleet with new B-Triples

ACFS Port Logistics has secured a new range of Super B-Triples that can hold up to six 20ft containers while working at the Port of Brisbane

Australian operator ACFS Port Logistics has grown its truck fleet with the addition of new B-Triple vehicles.

The B-Triple truck fleet will enhance ACFS’ operational capacity and service efficiency at the Port of Brisbane in a significant milestone for the operator and its commitment to improving its logistics solutions.
“The expanded fleet enables us to optimise the TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit) capacity per load, reducing the number of trips needed and cutting emissions by an impressive 33 per cent per container,” ACFS Port Logistics says in a statement.

“This achievement marks a substantial step forward in our mission to build a more sustainable and environmentally conscious operation.”

The new fleet includes the Super B-Triple that measures 42m long and has the ability to transport up to 6 TEUs per trip. This is equivalent to six 20ft containers or three 40ft containers.

On top of the success of its B-Triple trucks, ACFS has also heavily invested in expanding its fleet to include additional high-performance vehicle (HPV) combinations. This includes enhancing its commitment to continuous improvement, emissions reduction and container transport innovation.

ACFS Port Logistics has paid special tribute to its transport manager Wayne Jenkins for his role in securing the B-Triple approvals.

“His leadership and vision, along with the invaluable support of Port of Brisbane trade and logistics manager Nicole Murray and DP World landside superintendent Kate Breen, have played a pivotal role in making this expansion a reality,” ACFS says.

“Their collaborative efforts have been essential in moving this project forward. This milestone is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team. Together, we are shaping the future of logistics and setting new standards for the industry.”
