The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has announced the finalists for its 2025 National Trucking Industry Awards.
Representing 60,000 businesses and 200,000 people in Australia’s truck industry, the ATA awards each year recognise industry excellence.
“The National Trucking Industry Awards recognise the businesses and individuals who make exceptional contributions to our great industry – and Australia,” ATA chair Mark Parry says.
“The finalists for all our awards have shown enormous commitment to their individual businesses and the community. They are examples for us all.”
For the outstanding contribution to the Australian trucking industry award, there are three finalists – Leigh Smart from Formula Chemicals in West Ryde, NSW, Followmont Transport’s Mark Tobin and Truckin Life.

There are three finalists named for the national professional driver of the year award: IOR’s Andrew Foster, David Muir from Formula Chemicals and Brad Train from Queensland’s VE Group.
Exodas’ Cheryl Connor, Ann Lopez and Formula Chemicals’ Kimberlie Smart are the three finalists for the national trucking industry woman of the year award, while the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award finalists are HLE Smith and Co, Port Macquarie’s Jim Pearson Transport and Single Transport Services.
The winners will be named at the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner to held in Adelaide on April 30 as part of Trucking Australia 2025.
On the night, the Don Watson Memorial Award and the National Trucking Industry Workforce Award will be presented.
