The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has a new associate member, recently announcing its partnership with global connected vehicle technology company Geotab.

The partnership will see Geotab use its extensive expertise and innovative technologies that it says will benefit the Australian trucking sector.

Geotab says the partnership is a leap forward in its shared commitment with the ATA towards enhancing the safety, efficiency and sustainability of Australia’s trucking industry.

“We are excited to welcome Geotab as the ATA’s newest associate member and partner,” ATA CEO Mathew Munro says.

“The adoption of telematics technology within the trucking sector marks a pivotal evolution for the industry, ushering in enhanced levels of safety, connectivity, productivity and cost-effectiveness.”

Geotab says the partnership is testament to its dedication in transforming the trucking industry through the strategic use of data and connected technology.

Geotab Asia-Pacific sales associate vice president David Brown says joining forces embodies the mutual dedication to safety, professionalism, viability and sustainability.

“This partnership strengthens our commitment to the trucking industry in Australia and paves the way for groundbreaking innovation and progress,” Brown says.

“Together, we are steering towards a future that is both safer and more interconnected.”
