Australian luxury off-road caravan manufacturer Zone RV has been placed into voluntary administration this week.
Zone Manufacturing, the manufacturer of Zone RV caravans, announced on December 1 it had been placed into voluntary administration, with Cor Cordis being appointed as administrator.
Federal member for Fairfax Ted O’Brien has shared information on the news, with Zone RV being one of the Sunshine Coast’s largest employers with a headcount of 280 people and $70 million annual turnover according to Cor Cordis.
“Evidently, this is an incredibly difficult situation and the effects will be wide-ranging for employees, customers and their suppliers,” O’Brien says.
“More information will be available at the first creditors meeting next Wednesday, December 10.

“I’ve received further updates from the administrators, Cor Cordis and continue to monitor developments closely, including the impacts on both workers and creditors. I will keep sharing information as soon as more becomes available.”
O’Brien says for employees, the process is unlikely to be resolved quickly, and that support may be available through JobSeeker depending on circumstances.
The federal member says he’s working with local businesses to identify Christmas vacancies and will do his best to help those who contact his office to find interim work.
For creditors, O’Brien says many customers who have paid deposits or final balances have reached out, with administrators advising that creditors and suppliers should formally register as creditors and ensure all documentation, such as invoices and payment receipts, is ready.
