Australian electric brake controller provider Elecbrakes has announced “significant retail expansions” around the country.
The Australian business has revealed it has expanded its retail presence through partnerships with retail giants Bapcor and Super Retail Group, with the partnerships taking Elecbrakes to more than 400 locations nationwide.
Elecbrakes has partnered with Bapcor since 2022, initially launching products in 143 retail locations across Australia including Autobarn, Autopro and Opposite Lock.
Now, the partnership has also expanded to Bapcor’s wholesale division, including JAS Oceania and Baxter, with the latest developments set to grow the reach to more than 240 locations in 2025.
“As an Australian-owned business, we’re focused on giving our customers access to the best range of local and international vehicle parts, accessories, and equipment. The partnership with Elecbrakes reflects that promise,” Autobarn executive general manager of retail Megan Foster says.
Elecbrakes has also expanded its distribution of products, including the EB2, adaptors and other accessories, to 60 BCF (part of Super Retail Group) stores nationwide, an increase of 52 stores since it first started distribution in March 2023. Elecbrakes is well known for its trailer-mounted brake controller that features wireless connectivity and integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Additionally, Elecbrakes’ newly launched VM1 and elecConnect™ is also available both in-store and online, further enhancing the range of innovative towing solutions offered to consumers across Australia.
