CMV unveils redeveloped Dandenong dealership

The all-new Dandenong dealership includes a variety of upgraded safety equipment and an increased spare parts capacity for the new branch manager to enjoy

CMV Truck & Bus has announced the grand opening of its redeveloped Dandenong dealership to cater to heavy vehicles in Victoria.

Designed with the future in mind, the state-of-the-art transformation goes beyond meeting current customer and staff needs and has been built to enhance efficiencies and create safer working environments, as well as an improved customer experience.

The new site is at 77-79 Princes Highway in Dandenong South, at the same space that CMV has proudly served eastern Melbourne at since 2006.

The site specialises in selling Mack and UD Trucks, with parts and service of Mack, Volvo and UD trucks all included.

Over more than 18 months of intensive construction, CMV Truck & Bus Dandenong completed the change while keeping the space open for operations.

“This transformation reiterates CMV Truck & Bus’ dedication to investing in its facilities and delivering industry- leading solutions to our growing customer base. Additionally, the expansion includes modern and increased office space to support this continued growth,” CMV Truck & Bus general manager of Eastern Victoria Anthony Russell says.

With the addition of a new 20,000 sqm tech centre at the rear of the facility, the dealership now has 55 truck bays and generous space for trailers, both inside and under the full-weather canopy. Russell says this assures the long-term viability of CMV Truck & Bus Dandenong to meet the future requirements of customers.

“Our spacious workshops are equipped with the latest diagnostic tools and state-of-the-art equipment, enabling us to reduce turnaround times and enhance efficiency, ensuring drivers can get back on the road quickly to keep their businesses moving,” he says.

The refurbishment also involves an upgrade and expansion of the site’s parts warehouse to include more genuine components, while premium amenities in a lounge, refreshments and welcoming atmosphere are all designed to welcome more customers.

The renovations come after CMV appointed a new Dandenong branch manager in Adam Steenbuck, who has been with CMV for more than 17 years after starting as an apprentice.

“I am privileged to take the reins of this innovative dealership, which not only provides the highest level of service but puts the safety of our team and customers first,” he says.

“Safety is at the heart of everything we do and is a core business value, and this new facility is a true reflection of that commitment.”

CMV’s commitment to invest includes the addition of four 25-tonne inground knuckle lifts and industry-leading pit covers, as well as a separate dangerous goods workshop.

To celebrate the re-opening, the dealership recently hosted a spectacular showcase event, with almost 200 people in attendance including many valued customers. The event took place underneath the dealership’s new spacious canopy and guests were greeted with an impressive range of trucks on display, live music and delicious food and drinks.

“None of this would have been possible without the fantastic support and partnerships with all our customers. We are extremely grateful for all your support in making this possible,” Steenbuck says.

Volvo Group Australia’s president and CEO Martin Merrick was in attendance and officially opened the dealership with CMV Group executive director Paul Crawford.

“This is a dealership of the future, and it means that you the customer will benefit from improved efficiencies and customer experience, plus safety for all involved,” Merrick says.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to the CMV Group for their unwavering partnership and dedication over the past 56 years. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones.”
