The NSW ICAC will hold a public inquiry tomorrow as part of investigation into accused corrupt RMS heavy vehicle assessor

A three-day public inquiry into allegations of corruption against a former Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) heavy vehicle assessor will begin tomorrow.
The New South Wales Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) will hold the inquiry as part of its investigation into Christopher Binos.
ICAC Commissioner David Ipp AO QC will chair the inquiry, which will begin at 10am tomorrow in the Commision’s hearing room on Castlereagh Street in Sydney.
“It is alleged that between 2012 and 2013, Mr Binos solicited benefits from applicants for heavy vehicle licences, and conducted inappropriate or fraudulent heavy vehicle assessments,” ICAC says in a statement.
“It is also alleged that, since at least 2012, Mr Binos has been signing log books certifying applicants as competent to drive a heavy vehicle without the applicants completing the necessary assessments, in exchange for cash payments.”
