It’s official – Don Watson Transport has this week confirmed it will shut its doors, with an internal memo circulated revealing the key reasons behind the company’s demise.
Don Watson Transport has a rich history in Australia’s transport scene, having been a leader in cold freight, road transport and warehousing for more than 75 years.
A memo circulated to Don Watson staff from managing director Lyndon Watson on June 5 confirmed that the Don Watson Group of companies has officially decided to leave the warehousing and road transport industries.
The Bacchus Marsh-based company out of Victoria says “current economic conditions” is the reason for the difficult decision, with the changes set to impact all employees.
