A manufacturing defect means the rear axle bearing bracket on these heavy vehicles may have been assembled with missing mounting bolts and could become loose. It could affect both driving and braking performance, potentially leading to a loss of vehicle control.
A loss of braking performance and vehicle control may occur from this, with owners of affected vehicles advised to contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to arrange for inspection and works to be carried out free of charge if necessary.
