Civil construction group Daracon Group has unveiled a new truck that marks the final pillar of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
Late last year, the group’s newest Mack Superliner truck and quad dog arrived, turning heads with its bright blue finish.
Daracon Group executive director David Mingay says the addition is a fitting conclusion to the group’s 40-year celebrations.
Daracon Group transport operations manager Scott Brown says the new Mack boasts a 600hp engine as it begins delivering on major haulage projects across the Hunter, Sydney and regional NSW.
“You’re lucky in a fleet as large as ours to have the chance to secure a special truck like this one, especially as we just celebrated our 40th year of operation,” Brown says.

“Brandon from Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia was able to present the keys to our founder and owner David, which was made even more special as the branding on the truck includes our limited edition 40 year logo.”
Sporting a Mack Truck golden bulldog on the hood, the chassis has a complete Mack driveline, engine, trans and rear axles. This is topped off with a dazzling paint job, reflective of Daracon’s signature blue.

VCV Newcastle sales representative Brandon Hughes says he’s proud to have worked with Daracon on the new delivery.
“This truck one of those deliveries that you stand back and admire. This 600hp Superliner is perfect for the 20m truck and dog application and will do the job with ease,” Hughes says.
“VCV Newcastle has a long-standing relationship with Daracon and we look forward to continuing that into the future for many years to come.”
Daracon offer a range of vertically integrated civil construction services including quarrying, bulk and heavy haulage, concrete, contract crushing and plant hire. It delivers a range of major projects, subdivision construction, landscaping and more across the Sydney, the Hunter Valley and north-west NSW regions.
