Daimler Truck Australia Pacific has issued recalls for multiple models in its Fuso range, with nearly 350 units impacted by the recall.
The primary recall impacting 240 units relates to Fuso Fighter and Shogun 2023 models.
A manufacturing defect has resulted in the propeller shaft balance plates in these models not always being welded to the required specifications, meaning they may detach from the vehicle while driving.

This poses a risk for both the driver and other road users or pedestrians, with owners of affected vehicles advised to contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to organise the inspection of the propeller shaft balancing plate.
A separate recall is also impacting 104 Fuso models from 2024 due to a manufacturing issue with the body control module.
This issue may result in vehicle headlights, tail lamps, license plate lamps, brake lamps and wipers not operating as intended, potentially causing a loss of motive power.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Fuso dealership to book an appointment to have the rectification carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
