Average diesel prices dropped further in the week ended February 22, according to terminal gate pricing data from the Australian Institute of Petroleum.
Prices across six capital cities (excluding Hobart) dropped 1 cent a litre to an average of 112.63 cents in the period.
Melbourne remains the cheapest at the terminal gate, again edging out Brisbane, while operators purchasing fuel in Darwin continue to face the highest base pricing.
