In this comparison, second placed Hino, at 327 compared with 278 for the month, had about a 20 percent rise to 3,089 so far this year, while third-placed Fuzo, losing eight units for the comparative month to 250, was down 300 trucks to 2,075 for the year.

Leading manufacturer Isuzu also performed strongly, up about 10 percent to 5,343 and 611 from 567 for the Septembers.

The top six placings were unchanged compared with the previous year’s September, thought there was some jostling for position amongst those selling less than 100 units a month.

Light-duty and delivery van figures were fairly stagnant.
