World class event dubbed the “mini-Hanover” after the huge German festival

Five companies were recognised with show awards at a 2013 Brisbane Truck Show event
hosted by show ambassador and rugby league legend Shane Webcke last night.
Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) President Bob Martin presented the awards together with official show partners TradeTrucks.com.au and BP.
“It is a truly world class event and looks absolutely stunning,” Martin said of the show that was dubbed the “mini-Hanover” on the night
after the huge German festival.
“It is a credit to the industry which has come of age in a home worthy of hosting Australia’s Premier Event – the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.”
The awards and their winners were:
- Risk Management Excellence, presented by Worklaw Health & Safety – J. Smith & Sons
- Outstanding Vehicle Component and Equipment Display, presented by CVIAQ – Detroit Australia
- Outstanding Trailer/Truck Body Manufacturer Display, presented by TradeTrucks.com.au – O’Phee Trailers
- Outstanding Truck Manufacturer Display, presented by BP Australia – NC2 Global Australia
- Truck of the Show, presented by CVIAQ – Western Star Trucks Australia for 4900 FXC “Aussie 1”.
