Hundreds of classic and antique trucks will head to Penrith on June 15 for the annual Sydney Classic & Antique Truck Show

Following last year’s successful event with a record crowd, the Museum of Fire at Penrith is counting down the days to its 4th annual Sydney Classic & Antique Truck Show.

Classic trucks, buses, fire engines and vehicles of yesteryear from across the country will descend on the foot of the Blue Mountains on June 15.

The Museum of Fire, which organises the event, says it opens up a world of fascinating nostalgia and activities for all ages, from the solid rubber boneshakers of 1914 through to the kings of the highway of the ’60s and ’70s.

As well as the vehicles, the non-stop live will entertainment will include the vocal talents of sibling trio Audio Vixen presenting its Classic Rock Show. Other live on-stage acts include the outrageous Buddy Goode, versatile funny man Mick Meredith, Beatle Magic who will present a salute to the superstar Fab Four, as well as local group Tailgate.

International award-winning Matt Falloon and his ‘Trained Balloons’ will also be in the Museum of Fire grounds.

There will also be demonstrations throughout the day by vintage dressed firefighters showcasing the skills of yesteryear as they put some classic fire engines to work.

Further history will be relived with the historic police cars and bikes display including the infamous Chargers.

There will also be vintage double decker bus rides around Penrith, restored wagons and vehicles from Bullen’s Circus.

Prices are adults $15, which includes up to three children under 16 free, and concession $10. Gates open at 8am through to 3pm.
