Rockhampton to host Central Queensland Convoy

Rockhampton will be the venue on October 5 for the first ever CQ Convoy, with a couple of surprise guests on the entertainment bill.

THE CENTRAL Queensland Convoy For Kids will be held on Sunday, October 5, departing from the Rockhampton University at 9am and travelling to the Paradise Lagoon at Gracemere where the gates will open at 11am for an action-packed fun-filled day for all the family.

Entertainment on the day will be by X-Factor 2014’s James Johnston, The Voice 2014’s Taila Gouge, plus several local artists who will guarantee to keep the crowd hopping.

As well as the truck show and shine and trade displays, there will be heaps of other activities to keep all amused including; face painting (for the kids of course), amusement rides, markets, mechanical bull, junior charity barrel race, miniature horse show, scenic helicopter flights, multi draw raffles, tug-o-war, truck tarping and many other activities that are sure to keep the organisers on their feet all day.

Being Rugby League Grand Final day and because truck driving and truck shows are thirsty work, a fully licensed bar with a big screen is on site to keep the thirsts at bay.

This certainly sounds like the show to end all shows and would have been a huge effort by all those involved in organising and then over-seeing the smooth running of an event of this magnitude.

All proceeds from the day will go to local charities.

For further information contact the organisers direct: Marty 0407 761502, Megan 0498 362896, and Steve 0409 580218.
