We reckon a header demolition derby is the ultimate country sport, so Owner//Driver's Matt Wood caught up with Diesel and Dirt Derby winner Simon Nuske to see what you need to be a champ – besides an old header and balls of steel, that is.
A farmer and diesel mechanic from Dimboola, Nuske ran a John Deere 8820 named ‘Meat’ to take out the title ahead of 17 others in the 20-minute bash-fest.
Meat has been modified over a few years in partnership with Nuske’s best mate, farmer and auto-electrician Stuart Walker.
