Multi-Golden Guitar winners The Wolfe Brothers will headline the entertainment at the 2019 Penrith Working Truck Show
The upcoming Penrith Working Truck Show, already a highly anticipated event, has been made more appealing due to the outcome of the Country Music Awards of Australia, held in Tamworth on January 26.
Country-rock band The Wolfe Brothers walked away with four Golden Guitars on the night on the back of their latest album Country Heart.
The hard-working trio had already signed up to be the headline entertainment at the 2019 Penrith Working Truck Show, to be held on March 31 in the grounds of Penrith’s Museum of Fire. Now with their big bounty of gold, The Wolfe Brothers can now boast star status and are almost certain to attract a larger audience than the predicted 20,000 for the big western Sydney truck show.
Also on the Penrith bill will be husband-and-wife duo Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont, currently in the middle of their Highway Sky Tour throughout New South Wales.
Popular performer Christie Lamb, a Golden Guitar winner in 2016, is no stranger to truck events. Lamb is back at the Penrith show after her appearance with The Girls of Country in 2016.
Brad Butcher, who won the New Talent Golden Guitar award in 2018, and popular Newcastle-bred quartet The Viper Creek Band round out what is arguably an impressive line-up of artists.
Gates open at the Museum of Fire for the 32nd Penrith Working Truck Show at 8am. Ticket prices are $35 per adult, that price also including free admission for three accompanying children up to 16 years old. The entry ticket includes the country music concert, entry to the 22 kids’ rides and admission to the museum.
The charity auction and truck trophy presentation will kick off at 4pm.
