Aussie rock band Hoodoo Gurus will take to the stage during the family fun day at Shellharbour Airport following the i98FM Illawarra Convoy on November 17. It will be the 15th running of the charity fund-raising event.

The live music line-up also includes pop duo The Veronicas, country rock star Jayne Denham and local indie surf rock band Swells.

The Hoodoo Gurus, known for their chart hits ’What’s My Scene?’ and ‘I Want You Back’, have bene wowing Australian audiences since 1981.

The Veronicas recently released a new single, ‘Think Of Me’, as a precursor to their long-awaited fourth album.

Jayne Denham recently returned from the Women In Trucking Accelerate Conference in Dallas, Texas where she was invited to be the event’s ambassador for the next 12 months.

"It was a fantastic event with 11,000 women from all roles thoughout the industry," she says.

Country rock star Jayne Denham has enjoyed a long association with the Australian trucking industry.

Denham also had the opportunity to release her new single ‘Black Coffee & White Lines’ with a launch party at the Great American Trucking Show, also in Dallas.

"It was a lot of fun and it's great to help shine a light on the people and industry we cannot do without," Denham says.

Prior to the i98FM Illawarra Convoy, Denham is heading to Alaska to film a new video clip for ‘Black Coffee & White Lines’, which will feature four of the stars from the Ice Road Truckers TV show: Lisa Kelly, Carey Hall, Maya Sieber and Reno Ward.

Meanwhile, organisers of the i98FM Illawarra Convoy, held on November 17, are hoping this year’s event will be the biggest to date after relocating from Croome Rd Sporting Complex to Shellharbour Airport in 2018.

Shellharbour City Council has approved the convoy’s development application for the use of the airport for the next four years, securing the event site for the family fun day and end location of the motorbike and truck convoy.

The convoy will depart under police escort from the Illawarra Coal’s West Cliff Colliery on Appin Rd at about 8am and follow a route that will take them down Mt Ousley through Warrawong and past Stockland Shellharbour, through Albion Park Rail, then into the Shellharbour Airport for the fun day.
