Brisbane Convoy for Kids open for registration

With less than 80 days to go until the 13th annual Brisbane Convoy for Kids on 5th November 2022, it’s time to start polishing and getting ready.

The Brisbane Convoy for Kids will see trucks and transport support vehicles travel from Larapinta to the Redcliffe Showgrounds in Brisbane.

Once the convoy arrives there will be a full day of family friendly entertainment and activities. Including, a full display of all participating trucks, truck show judging, live entertainment, live auctions, free kids rides and kids entertainment and much more.

President Jason Prince says he wants the convoy to be bigger and better than ever.

“After bouncing back from Covid in 2021 with an outstanding 641 trucks, we are aiming to get close to 700 this year,” says Prince.

With this many trucks at the starting point in Paradise Road Acacia Ridge (entry via Learoyd Rd) organisers strongly recommend you get in early and register online. Of course, registrations can still be made on the day.

Some of the truck show category awards that will be up for grabs on the day include Best 2022 Model Truck, Best Vintage Truck 1992 and Older, Best Custom Graphics, Best Rigid and more.

“Last year we donated an amazing $100,000 to our beneficiary Hummingbird House, and this year are hoping to top that amount.

“With the help of things like our auction, which this year will include a signed guitar (including authentication certificate) with over 20 of America’s top country artist’s signatures, as well as our 2022 Trailer of Hope (supplied by Followmont Transport), this is looking highly likely,” says Prince.

This year’s line-up of entertainment includes, Hemi Tauroa, Matt Cornell, Jason McGregor and the amazing Adam Brand. We will also have music late into the night provided by Mattlach. As usual we will have free rides and animal farm for the kids as well as stalls, food and bar.
