Daimler Truck has issued a recall for its popular Fuso Shogun model due to a propeller shaft balance issue.
The recall impacts 49 units as part of the Shogun FV70, FV74 and FS76 variants, with the issue coming from a propeller shaft balance error.
“The propeller shaft balance weight may not have been welded to the required specifications and could detach,” the recall says.

“If this occurs, it may lead to vibration in the propeller shaft, causing abnormal noise and a loss of motive power while driving.”
Daimler says a loss of motive power or parts detaching from the vehicle while driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.
The brand says owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to schedule an appointment to replace the propeller shaft with a modified tandem propeller shaft free of charge.
