Daimler Trucks Australia has recalled more than 1,000 Fuso Shogun models due to a manufacturing issue that may lead to drivers being unable to change gears.
Daimler says 1,065 units of the Fuso Shogun range, spanning from the FV7 and FP7 models to the FU7 and FS7 variants, have been recalled, ranging from trucks made between 2019 and 2022.
“The alternator wiring harness may have been assembled with insufficient clearance and could become damaged,” the recalls says.

“If this occurs, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) may not operate as intended and the driver may be unable to change gears, leading to a loss of motive power while driving.”
Daimler is asking all owners of the affected vehicles to contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to book an appointment and have the rectification carried out free of charge.
