Global Express expands with a dozen new deliveries

The new Actros prime mover deliveries is just the start of a mega deal between Team Global Express and Daimler Truck Australia Pacific

Major operator Team Global Express has announced it has received 12 new Mercedes-Benz prime movers as part of an asset upgrade.

The delivery of 12 Actros trucks forms part of a 39-truck Daimler Truck deal that also features 27 Fuso models such as the medium-duty Fighter and the heavy-duty Shogun.

The new Mercedes-Benz trucks were delivered to Global Express at its Melbourne Airport depot and will soon be put to work along the east coast of Australia.

Team Global Express has ordered six 16-litre 2658 Actros models, featuring 580hp, and six 13-litre 2653 units that produce 530hp and meet Euro 6 emissions standards.

The models form part of Mercedes-Benz’s Euro 6 experience that started when it introduced the first full range of trucks with Euro 6 in Australia in 2016.
