Hyzon Motors is continuing to battle to stay afloat, with the international heavy vehicle manufacturer’s CEO announcing his resignation.
After confirming its exit from both Australia and Europe midway through last year before scaling back its entire operations late last year, the CEO of the company has now departed and sold his shares in the business.
CEO and director Parker Meeks has resigned effective immediately, with the company confirming there are no issues with his departure.

“Meeks’ resignation was not because of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices, including accounting principles and practices,” the company says in a statement.
“The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Dr Christian Mohrdieck, aged 65, as president and acting CEO effective immediately.”
Mohrdieck has served as Hyzon’s chief technology officer since January 1, 2024, previously having experience as chief commercial officer, CEO and managing director for cellcentric– the fuel cell company formerly known as Daimler Truck Fuel Cell.
With experience developing Daimler’s fuel cell program, Mohrdieck has held various research and management positions over the past two decades.
