Lights On The Hill Convoy to roar on February 28

The Lights on the Hill Dual Convoy Truck and Ute Show will take place on Saturday February 28

The Lights on the Hill Dual Convoy Truck and Ute Show will take place on Saturday February 28 and is ensured to be one great day. With more than 500 trucks expected to take part, both convoys will depart at 11am, one from the BP Archerfield in Brisbane, the other from the Toowoomba Showgrounds.

The trucks will travel along the Warrego Highway, meeting up at the Gatton Showgrounds where a day of family activities will take place, including musical entertainment from the likes of country stars Travis Sinclair and Jayne Denham.

In the showground arena, the truck show judging will ensure drivers have their rigs looking squeaky clean.

The Lights On The Trucking Memorial was created in 2002, the non-profit organisation dedicated to the trucking community of Australia, helping to keep alive the memory alive of those who have passed away.

Lights On The Hill actively works to continuously raise money to continue their growing efforts to remember the men and women of the trucking family. All the profits from this event are elegantly displayed in a personalised memorial monument bestowing respect and deliberation to deceased members of the transport industry.

"The Convoy is the most anticipated fundraiser of the year and one that I personally look forward too", says Leanne Dinning, the truck show coordinator and daughter of one of the celebrated drivers on the memorial wall.

"Over the past six years close friendships have been made, fun has been had, and an exhilarating amount of money and support has been raised to help the organisation. We expect this year to be no different."

Last year’s convoy had 521 participating trucks from all over Australia and this year’s sixth annual commemoration is
expected to give that total a nudge.

Due to the impressive response from previous convoys, immediate registration is suggested and can be done so by contacting Leanne Dinning on 0438 357 222 or simply by visiting
