Transport operators continue to ride the rollercoaster of diesel prices, as evidenced by the terminal gate pricing from the Australian Institute of Petroleum.
Despite a mid-week spike in virtually all of the capitals, prices had dropped by the end of the weekly cycle, sufficient to see most averages lower than the previous week.
Melbourne remains the cheapest at the terminal gate, again edging out Brisbane, while operators purchasing fuel in Darwin continue to face the highest base pricing.
