Isuzu helps with bushfire relief

Isuzu Australia and its dealer network pledge to donate $100 of every truck sold during February to bushfire appeal

Isuzu Australia and its dealer network are getting behind the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal, with a pledge to donate $100 per truck sold during February.

The company will also provide its new truck customers with the opportunity to follow suit with their own separate donations.

As well as the cash pledge, and internal staff donations, IAL and its Dealer Network have already provided several trucks to assist in the transportation of goods and supplies to the fire ravaged areas.

According to IAL Marketing Manager, Jeff Birdseye, the recent fires have had a profound affect on Australia.

“It’s difficult to comprehend the scale of destruction and tragedy that we have witnessed over the last two weeks,” Birdseye says.

“I think every Australian has been touched by these events, and it’s extremely pleasing to see that the nation has for the time being ignored the current global economic woes, and people from all different walks of life have rallied to the cause, and dug deep, with one objective: to do as much as possible to assist those affected by the Victorian bushfires; this is what true ‘Aussie mateship’ is all about.”
