A Truck Fun Day on March 22 will raise money for intellectually-disabled children at St George's School in Launceston

The Tasmanian Truck Owners and Operators Association (TTO&OA — Northern Branch) will hold a Fun Day on March 22 for the intellectually-disabled children that attend St George’s School in Launceston.

The Fun Day will be held at Perth Football Club Grounds, about 17 kilometres south of Launceston, where trucks and fire engines will be on display. Kids’ entertainment will include train rides, face painting, horse and cart rides, and an animal nursery.

The City of Launceston RSL Pipe and Drum Band along with the local country band Midnight Rendezvous will also entertain the crowd.

The Fun Day is supported by the Windmill Hill Lions Club who will serve lunch to the hungry crowds. Drinks, ice creams and lollies will round off the day. Donations from local businesses have provided goods for a monster raffle.

The TTO&OA has raised over $320,000.00 in the last 25 years to support the school by holding many different functions, including Truck Runs.
