Tooradin's Pulling Power

The annual Tooradin Tractor Pull and Truck Show in January brought out the gleaming rigs, keen spectators and muscle-bound kids.

Words by Peter and Di Schlenk

Owner//Driver travelled to Tooradin, around 70 kilometres south of Melbourne for its annual truck show on January 17.

Truck judging was under way by 10am, although trucks were on site early with many operators giving their rigs a final clean at the last minute.

The Rig Of The Day went to Dominic Inserra of Come Rocking Transport and his immaculate Kenworth T900.

A truck pull, including the kids’ pull where all participants received an ice cream, an auction, a big screen running truck DVDs and trade displays kept the crowd until the tractor pull began.

This year rain didn’t cut the proceeding short with everyone being treated to a wonderful truck show and some great tractor pulling. It was an all around great day which raised money for local groups and charities.
