Fox and Kelty hit the road to beat unemployment

Lindsay Fox joins forces with Bill Kelty to help reduce mass unemployment throughout Australia

Trucking magnate Lindsay Fox will join forces with former ACTU sectary Bill Kelty in an attempt to revive jobs in areas of mass unemployment throughout Australia.

In an announcement made by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd yesterday, the pair try and arrest rising unemployment figures, pushed up by the onset of the worldwide economic downturn.

Rudd says the experience Fox has will benefit business owners and teach them how to employ people in economically tough times.

"I want Lindsay to be able to advise employers in disadvantaged communities on practical ways they can keep their workers and even take on new apprentices and employees," he says.
