TruckSafe forum at relocated ATA tech conference

TruckSafe will hold its first annual members' forum in conjunction with the ATA Technical and Maintenance Conference

TruckSafe, the trucking business and risk management system developed by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) will hold its first annual members’ forum in conjunction with the ATA Technical and Maintenance Conference in November.

Chief Executive of TruckSafe, Stuart St Clair, says the forum will provide a platform for members to find out how to improve their businesses.

“TruckSafe members are proven leaders in safety management and they are always looking at ways to improve their business models,” he says.

The forum allows members the opportunity to share information while learning about the latest improvements in risk management and speak with auditors about what they will be focusing on and what concerns they have.

According to St Clair, the decision to hold the forum during the Technical and Maintenance Conference was a logical choice as it gives TruckSafe members even more opportunity to improve how they operate.

“Many TruckSafe members already attend the Technical and Maintenance Conference each year,” he says

“By combining the eves members will be able to give additional information specifically relevant to TruckSafe accredited companies.”

The forum and conference will beheld at the Silverwater Resort, south-east of Melbourne and ATA Chairman Trevor Martyn says the fact members will be staying at the same place as the event will mean it is more effective.

“Being based at one location frees up time, up to four hours a day in some cases, which would normally be spent travelling to and from hotels and the conference,” Martyn says.
