Linfox will add more than 100 new vehicles to its fleet after signing two new contracts with BOC Gases and SCA Hygiene Australasia.

The deal with SCA continues its 20-year association with Linfox, while the BOC contract is an all new venture.

Under the contract with BOC, Linfox will be responsible for distributing gas products throughout New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Linfox Industrial President Peter Stokes says the company will buy 111 specially deigned vehicles designed to a range of gas cylinders and demountable bulk chemical tanks.

Linfox will operate BOC operations out of Rocklea in Queensland, Preston in Victoria and Lidcombe, Wetherill Park and Newcastle in NSW.

Linfox Retail Consumer Group Vice President Damien Grace says the SCA deal will improve delivery efficiencies.

“In the last two years Linfox has developed state of the art distribution technology with SCA to generate new efficiencies in their supply chain operations,” Grace says.

Linfox has also pledged to introduce a fleet of rigid vehicles to deliver SCA’s non-grocery deliveries in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
