100 pc increase in profit for Lindsays

Lindsay Australia posts impressive 100 percent increase in revenue, announcing more than $4 million in net profit

August 25, 2009

Lindsay Australia has posted an impressive 100 percent increase in revenue, announcing a $4.015 million net profit for the last financial year.

The company says the rise in profit can be put down to increased freight revenues and contribution margins by the transport division, coupled with a reduced applicable tax rate from the benefit of investment allowance claims.

During a tough year for transport, Lindsay continued to cement its position in the market on the back of its strong food delivery operation which was responsible for 90 percent of the company’s total revenue.

Lindsay has also bucked its trend of recording weak profits for the second half of the year, with the operator announcing a rise in revenue during the second half of last financial year.
