The man considered instrumental in developing Patrick Container Ports into a world class terminal operator is leaving Asciano

The man considered instrumental in developing Patrick Container Ports into a world class terminal operator throughout Australia is leaving the Asciano family to pursue other interests.

Doug Schultz, who is currently the divisional general manager of Patrick Container Ports, has been praised for his efforts by Asciano Chief Executive Mark Rowsthorn.

“Doug has been an integral part of the Asciano Senior Management team,” Rowsthorn says.

“In his five years as head of the Patrick Container Terminal business, Doug was instrumental in the development of the worlds first automated straddle container terminal and the construction of Berth 10 in Brisbane, the redevelopment of [the] Port Botany Terminal and introduction of Rail Mounted Gantries.”

Schultz is also accredited with the expansion of East Swanson Dock in Melbourne and the restructure of Patrick Services and Patrick Port link into Patrick Port Logisitics.

Schultz will be replaced by the current head of the Pacific National intermodal business Paul Garaty.
