Forty six new members have been inducted onto the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame in Alice Springs
Forty six new members were inducted onto the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at the National Road Transport Hall of Fame in Alice Springs today.
The annual event, which this year sees over 400 truck drivers and transport industry professionals travel to Alice Springs, is a highlight of the road transport calendar and provides the opportunity to recognise a lifetime of service for the inductees.
Among those inducted are five family members from four generations of the Male family – Adam, Timothy, Con (dec), Robert (dec) and William (dec) who have worked in the transport industry since the 1860s, as well as Neville Hobbs a coach driver, that pioneered travel to the red centre during the early days of tourism.

The three-day celebration, sponsored by Shell Rimula lubricants, includes a number of events including the Transport Women Australia breakfast and the Cummins Cup on August 28, the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame Induction and Shell Gala Dinner on August 29, and the public open day in the museum to view the heritage collection on August 30.
Shell has been the major sponsor of the National Road Transport Hall of Fame for nine years.
