September 29, 2009

A fleet engineering manager from Boral and a national workshop manager from Booth Transport are the two finalists for the Craig Roseneder Awards for technical and maintenance excellence.

Merv Rowlands and Robert Marchetti have been in the transport industry for a combined total of 59 years and will go head to head for an opportunity to travel to the American Trucking Associations’ Maintenance Council meeting early next year.

According to Australian Trucking Association (ATA) Chairman who announced the finalists the two men have both contributed in taking the country’s trucking industry to a higher level of technical excellence.

“The Craig Roseneder Award forms an important part of the trucking industry’s efforts to promote the commitment and achievement of individuals and organisations within the industry,” Martyn says.

The winner will be announced on November 16 at a special awards dinner as part of the 2009 Technical and Maintenance Conference on Phillip Island, south of Melbourne
