September 23, 2009

Industry groups have united to sponsor a support program for women in the transport and logistics workforce.

The Women Moving Forward mentoring program is now taking applications for its October intake.

Free sponsored positions have been made available through the Australian Logistics Council (ALC), the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTA), the Supply Chain Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) and the Transport and Logistics Centre (TALC).

“This program has demonstrated results in building the efficiency, capability and number of jobs in transport and logistics by supporting the development of women,” organisers say.

The program accommodates women looking to develop skills in any industry role and from any company from across Australia.

Interested participants can apply through their association via e-mail. Contact CILTA, the SCLAA or TALC.
