Oxford Cold Storage's transport manager Jacquelene Brotherton appointed new chair of Transport Women Australia

November 23, 2009

Oxford Cold Storage’s transport manager Jacquelene Brotherton has been appointed as the new chair of Transport Women Australia.

Brotherton has been involved in the transport industry since 1970 and will take on the role immediately as part of a shake-up of the association’s board announced in Perth last week.

Board member Pam McMillan has been appointed the vice chair, while Merry Manton and Christine O’Brien have been newly appointed to the board.

Brotherton is currently the chair of the Refrigerated Warehouse and Transport Association Sub-Committee.

She says she is looking forward to serving the women of the transport industry as the association looks to celebrate 10 years in 2010.

“Our organisation has a strong base and we are looking forward to an exciting year with networking functions, a 10 year reunion dinner and full day seminar in June as well as the continuing growth of networks in most areas throughout the country,” Brotherton says.

“I hope other women involved in transport would be encouraged to contact myself or other directors for further information and details on how to become involved [in the organisation].”
