November 17, 2009

Crime scene investigators have found "white powder" and cash at the scene of a fatal collision between a car and B-double which killed four people.

The powder is being forensically tested and police are determining where the items came from, with investigators alleging the quantity of powder and money were in the wreckage of the car.

The crash happened on the Hume Highway near Yass about 10.50am on November 15.

Witnesses says a silver Honda Accord crossed the median strip and hit the B-double travelling in the opposite direction.

The four car occupants died at the scene but have not been identified, while the truck driver was taken to hospital suffering shock and minor injuries.

Police will compile a report for the NSW Coroner following investigations.

Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact Yass Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
