December 22, 2009
The driver of a B-double tanker that ploughed into a building in Brisbane’s CBD this morning has died from what is believed to be a heart attack.
A Queensland Police spokesperson says the crash occurred at 5.50am when the tanker veered into the Evolution building on the corner of Tank Street and North Quay.
The driver was treated by paramedics at the scene of the accident but died before he could be transported to hospital.
Drivers have been told to expect delays for several hours, as firefighters remain at the scene until the vehicle is removed.
There is no official confirmation yet as to which company owns the tanker.
