NTI increases foothold in Queensland

Heavy vehicle insurance specialist NTI moves to increase foothold in Queensland, announcing five key appointments

National Transport Insurance (NTI) is moving to strengthen its position in Queensland by announcing key appointments to increase market presence.

Backed by two of Australia’s largest insurers, CGU and Vero,

Allan Smith has been appointed as the company’s Queensland manager, leaving his position as the West Australian manager since 2003.

During that time, NTI says Smith was responsible for growing NTI’s footprint in the region.

Rick Griffin will become the new operations manager responsible for underwriting and service levels across Queensland, with Julie Robertson baing appointed as the fleet underwriting manager responsible for fleet business in the State.

NTI has also poached Jason Rogerson from Global Transport and Nick Ferguson from AEI Transport. Both will be responsible for business development managerial roles.

“NTI is continuing to grow and strengthen its position in the heavy motor insurance market, while being backed by two of Australia’s largest insurers – CGU and Vero,” NTI CEO Tony Clark.

“NTI is committed to delivering exceptional products and service to the Queensland insurance brokers and their customers.”

According to the group, it insures over $7 billion in assets on behalf of 14,000 customers.

NTI is part of a joint venture between CGU Insurance and Vero Insurance.
