Traffic on the Cunningham Highway in Queensland suffered early morning delays after a B-double full of produce rolled over.

The incident occurred at 4am west of the Cunningham Gap at Maryvale but the vehicle was not moved until after 8am.

Police closed the route for 30 minutes from 8.15am during the removal operation.

The truck driver was not injured, but a police spokeswoman says it is not yet known what caused the B-double to roll over.

"The forensic crash unit will have to investigate that," the spokeswoman says.

The incident followed a crash yesterday at 4pm on the M1 between a tanker and a car.

No-one was injured in the accident but the left southbound lane of the highway was closed while police removed the stricken vehicles.

The spokeswoman says the lane re-opened to traffic at 5.30pm.

"That’s because it [the crash] wasn’t very serious," she says.
