Australian country rock singer Jayne Denham has snared a trailer-sized sponsorship deal with Wickham Freight Lines

Country rock chick Jayne Denham is well known for her admiration of the men and women of the trucking world and it seems the feeling is mutual.
Several of her songs have caught the attention of one of Australia’s largest trucking companies, Wickham Freight Lines, and the group has offered her a sponsorship deal.
It will see her face travelling around the country on the side of a refrigerated van. And the rig will more than likely make an appearance at several of her shows throughout the year.
‘‘Truck drivers keep this country moving and we would not be where we are as a country without them,’’ Jayne said.
‘‘Go the truckies and companies like Wickhams who work so hard to achieve so much.’’
Jayne’s song ‘Cousin Jude’, about a female semi trailer driver, from her debut album, Sudden Change In Weather, was embraced by the trucking fraternity and led to her appearing at truck shows all around the country. She has even performed for Wickham’s staff at two of their Christmas Parties.
Jayne’s latest album, Shake This Town, includes similar trucker tributes in the shape of ‘Road Train Fever’ and ‘Trucker Chicks’, the latter which is set to be released as a single later this month. She will perform at the Lights On The Hill
Convoy in Gatton, Qld on February 27.
